Family Oriented Camping If you are looking for a picturesque place to rest and relax, come to West Canada Creek Campsites. Our New York campground is close to the Adirondack Park in the spectacular Adirondack Mountains. We are a full service campground with everything the family needs while camping. You can enjoy an assortment of outdoor activities such as swimming in our sparkling pool, tubing or canoeing on the river, spending a lazy day fishing on the West Canada Creek, or maybe you'll just want to relax, sit back, and read a book while taking in the splendid scenery. Cabins, Tents, & Full Hookups Don't have a tent or RV? No problem, we also have cabins that have a beautiful view of the river. Tent camping? Never fear, we have a separate tenting area that is as rustic as they come, near the river, with full access to all of our campground amenities. We have large pull thru sites that offer privacy as well as full hookups. We also have sites in a variety of settings, shaded, sunny, full-hookups (50 AMPS), primitive, on the river and river view and we can accommodate BIG rigs with no problem. Swimming, Volleyball & Fishing There are many activities at West Canada Creek Campsites. These include: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, volleyball, fishing, and tubing or if you are looking for a more relaxed game to play we also have horseshoes and for the youngsters we have a great playground. We also have a pavilion area for groups or families to use and if rain should happen to appear, no problem, we just close the sides and have a weather proof area to continue the activities. The Lil' Red Caboose & Campstore If you are in the mood for a snack or some delicious cold and creamy ice cream, visit our unique Lil' Red Caboose. We offer hot dogs, chips, slushees, sodas, root-beer floats, milkshakes, sundaes and good old fashioned soft serve custard cones. And don't forget to pick up your Lil' Red Caboose T-shirt at the camp store. There is no better way to finish a great summer day than a cool refreshing treat from our Lil' Red Caboose. In our camp store you will find a variety of items from RV supplies to Toys to fishing supplies to snacks. And don't forget, we carry a wide line of souvenirs to help remember you great camping trip.
drivingDirection From the North Take Route 12/28 South into Barneveld. Take left at the light and follow Route 28 in Barnevled. When you get to the intersection with Route 8 in Poland, take a left and go for half a mile. The Campsite is on your left just before the bridge over the West Canada Creek in to Poland. From the South Take Route 12/8 North and drive completely through Utica. About 4 miles north of Utica take the Exit for route 8 north to Poland. Drive approximately 8 miles. The Campsite is on your left just before the bridge over the West Canada Creek in to Poland. From the East Take NYS Thruway (Interstate 90) until the Herkimer Exit (Number 30). Turn right out of exit and follow signs for Route 28 North. After approx. 16 Miles on 28 North you will drive through the village of Poland. As you exit you will cross the bridge over the West Canada Creek. We are on the right 75 yards across the bridge. From the West Take NYS Thruway (Interstate 90) until the Utica Exit (Number 31). Turn right out of exit and follow signs for Route 8/12 North. After approx. 6 Miles on 8/12/28 North you will follow the Exit for route 8 North to Poland. Drive approximately 8 miles. The Campsite is on your left just before the bridge over the West Canada Creek in to Poland.
